Zoom to The Emerald City

Oh wow! I didn't realize it has been over a month since I blogged last! So sorry about it. The past month has been a really busy month for me with e-design projects going on. Recently though, I took a week off so I can take a vacation to refresh my energy and get my groove back. My other half, Jeffry and I took a four day weekend trip to one of our favorite cities - Seattle, Washington. I want to share with you about our time spent in the "Emerald City".

Pioneer Square

Pioneer Square

On our first day in Seattle, we walked around one of our favorite neighborhoods of Seattle; Pioneer Square. It is known as the historic district located just south of central business district in downtown Seattle. With it's cobblestone streets, old trees, and beautiful architecture, it's filled with various shops, art galleries, and restaurants. It has lots of charm and is a great place to get inspired!

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market

Of course, we can't skip one of Seattle's most famous landmarks; Pike Place Market! It is a public market filled by various things from beautiful flower shops (with cheap cheap cheap flowers!!), farmers market, jewelry, artworks, cafes/restaurants, THE original Starbucks, and so much more... We love to walk around the market and always discovery new thing since it has so many hidden gems. Here is one more picture to see what indoor of Pike Place Market looks like and you can see one of the flower vendors:

We also went to the Gum Wall which is located right next to the Pike Place Market. I know it is so gross and disgusting but you have to admit that gum wall is looking so cool and artistic; and it's really big...much larger than this picture would have you believe. I find it very fascinating and can't stop looking at it! In the case if you're wondering, no, we are not adding our gums to the wall since we are not really gum people.

However, we also got to look around the greater downtown Seattle and north Seattle parts including Ballard, Fremont, Wallingford, and University District. It brings back lots of memories when we lived in Seattle. I lived in Seattle for over eight and half years and is still a part of our souls.

Last March, my parents gave Jeffry and me really awesome birthday gifts - gift certificates to iFly Seattle so we can get to experience an indoor sky dive. We waited until recently to use this gift certificate so my parents can meet us there and watch us doing it. It was lots of fun! Highly recommended!

On the last night of Seattle, we dined at one of our favorite seafood restaurants, Ivar's Salmon House. Why? It has delicious seafood dishes, unique restaurant atmosphere, and got killer view of Seattle skyline and Lake Union. We had fantastic time in Seattle!
