Decorate your home for the holidays

Who is excited about the holidays? Despite everything going on, I still am! I love the holidays because it always brings me a great deal of joy and creates new warm memories. I wanted to share with you some decorating ideas for Christmas in the California Casual style; which is, as many of you know, one of my favorite styles to work in.

When it comes to California Casual style - it’s you often find the use of light woods, black iron, mudcloth and tribal pattern fabrics, brass, white, blue, and green plants also come to mind. While this doesn’t jibe with the traditional so much, we can use these colors, finishes and materials to still say holidays. Holiday decorations in California Casual are simple and understated, while still giving holiday warmth. Please avoid glittery things, loud colors and bright reds and gold tones. A Nordic style Christmas also works well with California Casual style.
