I got featured on the book, If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It!

I’m excited to share some news with you, I’m one of 25 individuals featured in the children book, “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It” by Colleen Nelson and Kathie MacIsaac with illustrations by Scot Ritchie. This book encourages children living with challenges that they can overcome barriers and obstacles in their life in order to become what they dream to be.

Here is a little back story about how I became a part of this project. About 1 1/2 years ago, I was approached by award winning author and teacher, Colleen Nelson, after she read about me in a House Beautiful article. She explained that she and her co-author, Kathie MacIsaac were working on a children’s book aimed at 9-12 year olds to provide inspirational stories to encourage kids to follow their career dreams. They thought I would be a great fit for the book because of some of the challenges I’ve faced along the path of my design career. So, we had a video interview and a wonderful conversation and now the book has finally been released!

I’m honored to be one of the 25 featured individuals for Colleen & Kathie’s book. I hope that it will help make a difference for children with big dreams and can see inspiration in the profiles in the book that encourage them to follow those dreams and be successful.
