Styling Your Home For The Fall!

Yay! It’s September 1st! I hope you’re like me and have been looking forward to this fall season to enjoy seeing the fall foliage color change, cooler temps, and some rainy days. Hey…it’s why I love Seattle! This past summer has been a drag with almost no rain, extreme heat domes baking us, and wildfire smoke. For some reason, I feel that fall season always make things better and joyful for me. I hope that applies to all of you as well!

In the last few weeks, I’ve been inspired by vendors introducing this year’s fall decoration lines and seeing a lot of options that I love and know will work with my clients and the various design styles I typically deal with. You know that typical fall decorations often come in bold autumnal colors, but you don’t need to go loud. Neutrals like natural rattan, wood tones, and creams with some pops of color in copper tones, brass/gold, and orange will really bring the cozy into your home.

The latest fall design trends that I am seeing are focusing on black, white, copper, brass/gold and light to medium wood tones. Pumpkins. Add pumpkins. I love pumpkins! And I’m seeing a lot of cool options this year. I typically always buy real pumpkins and intersperse them with decorative ones that provide a lot of texture and visual interest.
