Joshua's Top Picks - Modern Eclectic Christmas Decor

It’s that time of the year when I start thinking about decorating my home for the holidays. Annually, I do a top picks with some fun pieces for Christmas decoration. This year, I’m inspired to select decorations that focus on one of my favorite design styles, modern eclectic.

If your space is moody with a darker wall color with or a very white or neutral or neutral space, then a tree with jewel colors and gold looks really sharp and pops. Despite Christmas tree collars becoming more popular, I’m still a fan of a richly textured tree skirt.

For greenery, many people typically use pine branches, birch or even poinsettia. Something a little different is using magnolia leaves in a wreath, like the one I selected for the shopping list below. They dry beautifully and can have a rich golden hue.

For tabletop decorative objects, mix pieces from different eras or materials and textures to give an eclectic look for your space. You can’t go wrong with that.
