Joshua's Top Picks - Boho Nursery Room
I love decorating nursery rooms. There’s a particular joy in the license for playfulness and whimsy in a baby or toddler’s room. I’ve been enjoying working with a few expecting e-clients designing nurseries to make a special space for their soon-to-be new additions. I was inspired, so I wanted to create my latest Joshua’s Top Picks focusing on a Boho style nursery room with elements that will work in all sorts of spaces.
I selected a Boho style design because there’s a lot of aspects to the style that people find cozy and inviting. I’m a big believer in live plants and in a nursery room they can also help with keeping cleaner air and it’s great for the energy of the space. I’ve made a sophisticated space as well so the adults also are stimulated by being in the room. Since a nursery room, by it’s nature, is temporary, have fun with the space and be different.
I want to point it out something here. Creating a gender neutral nursery room is highly recommended for a few reasons. 1. If you’re planning to have more children - you can reuse it and make some changes such as colors and accessories without having to spend a fortune on it. 2. As your child get older, you can continue using some existing furniture and pieces but would work great with new colors or themes which would be much easier for you to adapt it on the long term. 3. Sometimes children just love neutral colors so much and a few pops of color can bring the room to life.
